Hampshire-based Drain Doctor Plumbing, which covers Southampton and Portsmouth, has crowned a successful year by being presented with the Franchise of the Year award at the national group's annual awards ceremony.

Group founder and chairman Freddie Mitman presented owners Allan and Jacqui Rook with their trophy at a gala awards night at the Golden Bay Beach Hotel, Larnaca, Cyprus.
The award is given to those franchisees that have generated an outstanding total turnover related to the population of the area they serve. Allan and Jacqui won the award for the franchise area with a population of more than one million people.
Freddie Mitman said: "Allan and Jacqui are positive thinkers who are irrepressible optimists with passion to succeed. They set themselves challenging yet achievable goals, something which fires their enthusiasm and helps them build their business.
"They are acutely aware of the importance teamwork plays and they hold regular well-structured meetings with their technicians to pass on their desire to make sure customers receive a first class service. I am delighted to be presenting them with this award."
